Q: Why did you become an advisor?

I love to help people! It’s such a great challenge and I get to meet the most amazing families.

Q: Why were you looking to leave your prior firm?

I wasn’t looking. My firm decided to sell itself to a large acquirer. I did not think that was best for my clients.

Q: Why AdvicePeriod?

I want to control my clients’ experience and have ownership in my business. I believe planning is as – if not more - important than investing to my clients. I believe AdvicePeriod and I share the same values.

Q: What was your client reaction to the news you joined AdvicePeriod?

My clients were very curious to hear where I moved and why. As I explained that my move was based on doing what was best for my clients – they understood and were excited.

Q: What surprises have you encountered since joining?

I did a lot of due diligence before I started. And nothing can fully prepare you for the move. I’ve been really impressed with the depth and breadth of our resources and institutional relationships. I thought my prior firms had connections, but it was nothing like we have at AdvicePeriod.

Q: Most memorable moment since joining?

There are many! I’ll never forget the day I started. When I first walked into my temporary office - I was nervous! But there to greet me was my AdvicePeriod “Champion” – my wingman for success. He walked me through the entire onboarding process and made me feel extremely at ease.

Q: What advice do you have for Advisors considering AdvicePeriod?

Do it! Instead of getting stuck with busy work, I now feel like I have more time to focus on my clients. My clients and I will be here for the rest of my career.
